Free Training Courses – Paediatric first aid

The Paediatric First Aid course is designed for parents, and people who work with children in the absence of their parents; courses have the flexibility to be appropriate to the age of the children being cared for. The course aims to give the candidate knowledge and assess them on their ability to deal with emergency situations, how to recognise and respond to serious medical conditions and serious injuries. The course includes training on adult, child and infant resuscitation manikins, the contents of first aid boxes and the recording of accidents and incidents. To qualify for this course “free” you need to meet the following criteria;

  • Individuals who are unemployed claiming JSA or ESA aged 19 or over, not in paid employment or self-employment and actively seeking work who have been unemployed for less than 6 months.
  • Individuals, who are under consultation of redundancy;
  • Individuals, who are under notice of redundancy;
  • Individuals who have been notified by their employer that they are likely to be directly affected by downsizing or company closure, expected to result in unemployment;

The Level 1 in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment qualification is for individuals wanting to apply for the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Green Card.

The CSCS Green Card is for individuals working within the labouring occupations. As of July 2014 CSCS introduced a new requirement for people to achieve a formal knowledge based qualification, ‘Health and Safety in a Construction Environment’ Award.
