The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) is a varied programme of activities that can be undertaken by anyone aged 14 to 24 regardless of their race, culture, religion, language or ability. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme can take on average anywhere between 1-3 years to complete depending upon the route taken and the level. SMARTT have the experience and qualified staff to run or assist in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award at Bronze, Silver or Gold. Approximately 275,000 young people are taking part in their The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme at any one time.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards are held in high regard by schools, academies, colleges, universities and employers, and being challenging and rewarding to complete, they support the development of transferable skills in young people. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award are entirely voluntary, fun, and entirely non-competitive (Try telling our students that!)
ccess to the skills and the knowledge they need to make the most of their potential to succeed in employment. Our employability courses range from the award, certificate and the diploma in Employability and are qualifications that help individuals develop key personal skills, qualities and attitudes required by employers and make progress in education. Our courses has many practical, engaging and fun tasks to help students plan and review their learning, work in teams, solve problems and explore entrepreneurship.
You can start any level so far as you meet the minimum starting age requirement. You also have until your 25th birthday to complete your Duke of Ed Award.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is purely voluntary and most of our delivery is ‘free’, however there are costs involved for registration and resources etc…. but the places and the award itself are precious.
