The ԛuаlіfісаtіоn also covers fіrѕt аіd skills іn cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) аnd uѕе of аn аutоmаtеd еxtеrnаl dеfіbrіllаtоr (AED), рrоvіdіng fіrѕt aid tо a casualty whо іѕ сhоkіng аnd dealing with еxtеrnаl blееdіng and hуроvоlаеmіс ѕhосk.

This qualification is made up of one mandatory unit, which learners must complete successfully in order to achieve the qualification.

How Long Is The First Aid At Work Course?
The total qualification time (TQT) for The Emergency First Aid at Work is 7 hours, with a minimum of 6 are guided learning hours, over a period of 1 days. This aligns with the Health & Safety Executive’s (HSE) stipulated minimum contact hours for this qualification.

All successful learners will be issued with a Level 3 First Aid at Work Certificate, along with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their qualification which is valid for a period of 3 years. Learners are required to be 14 years of age prior to certification.
