SMARTT’s FutureForce Course
SMARTT’s FutureForce course is delivered as a series of physical and mental challenges – often in the outdoors and the community. It will suit learners who struggle to achieve their ideal learning experience in the classroom. Students who learn by doing and enjoy physical challenge will thrive and achieve more by participating in this alternative education programme.
SMARTT’s FutureForce course focuses on building employability skills – the knowledge, skills and aptitudes employers look for when recruiting young people to their workforce. The suite of Wider Key Skills qualifications ensures young people can take control of their own learning, solve problems and work effectively and efficiently with others.
The skills acquired whilst participating on SMARTT’s FutureForce course will also equip students to seek other employment should they decide that joining up is not for them at this time and we will offer support for progression plans, and is an opportunity to work with our ex-military personnel Teamwork and mutual support, communication and problem-solving, reliability and commitment are all key employability skills.
Our aim is to ensure young people who participate in our courses fully are able to achieve the equivalent of 3 GCSEs by maximising opportunities to learn through outdoor and community interaction.
