How is this Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness Qualification Structured?

This qualification is made up of one mandatory unit, which learners must complete successfully in order to achieve the qualification.

  • Principles of Fire Safety Awareness

How is this Fire Safety Awareness qualification delivered?

The total qualification time (TQT) for The Emergency First Aid at Work  is 5 hours, with a minimum of 4 are guided learning hours

The practical assessment of learners for the qualification is completed throughout the course delivery.

Level 1 Fire Safety Awareness QCF Syllabus

Arrange of subjects is covered including:

  • hazards and risks associated with fire • actions to take in the event of a fire • types of fire-fighting equipment • fire triangle • fire risk assessment • housekeeping • physical controls • Main causes of fires

Level 1 Fire Safety Awareness Certification:

All successful students will be issued with an Level 1 Fire Safety Awareness. This qualification is valid for a period of 3 years, at which point learners will need to re-sit the course.
